Hybrid Theory

Hybrid Theory questions why Africans struggle with applying proven mechanisms of modernization grounded in the laws of economics, science and technology for advancement, despite the intense level of cultural integration and globalization. This challenge with economic and scientific advancement has been the core of numerous suggestive narratives that imply that Africans are primitive and incapable of development.

Taking on the experience of Zambian scientist, Edward Makuka Nkoloso, who was mocked in the 60s for challenging Africans to be just as ambitious in space travel and research, in order to contribute to global advancement, this series offers a broader outlook beyond Africa to the Black race, by attempting to highlight the difficulty in merging our traditional beliefs with science and technology despite being just as learned and educated as others in advanced countries.
